Hello from Crowville

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

We are back home. We got home around 12:30. The chest x-ray was good. It showed no growth in the original spot or the lung. We go back in a month to get a CT scan and PET scan unless he starts having any symptoms. We made our regular visit to the 99 cent store on the way out of Houston. I guess that is about it for the Houston trip. On Saturday, we finally got Delayne and Jarrell's trailer unloaded, the storage room we rented emptied and several boxes from the house moved into the new shed. We have been trying to do this since the first of May. It has either rained or we have just been so busy. We are planning to have a rummage sale next weekend to try and get rid of things. We have been looking at house plans. We have decided what we want the outside to look like, so now we are trying to get the inside decided on. There are a few houses that we would like to look at so we are going to try to do that this week. Once we decide all that stuff, we have to find a builder. We might start on it toward the end of the yr, and that will be here before we know it with all the stuff going on in the next few months. We were thinking about going to New Orleans this weekend. Kim's bday is Sunday. We tried to find a hotel since her house is so small, but we refuse to pay what they want for a hotel room. I am not surprised that no one is visiting New Orleans. They seem to like their rooms very much. Guess they are trying to make up for loss revenue. Well, it is 3:20 and I think Emma Grace might stay asleep, so I think I will head to bed. Later.

Hello from Houston

Sunday, May 21st, 2006

Well, we are in Houston. We made it here about 10:30 last night. Wes has already had his chest x-ray and blood work done, so we are waiting for check-out time and his 2 o'clock appt with his dr. The trip wasn't too bad yesterday. Emma Grace used her dvd player that Grammy and Grandaddy got her for Christmas. She loved it. She watched Barney, Dora and Elmo. She usually sleeps most of the trip, but yesterday she was being entertained. Well, we have to go load the car. We will be back sometime tonight, and I will post the results when we get home. Until then please pray that everything will be fine. Goodbye

Hello

Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

It has been a busy week as always. We helped Grammy last week at the ballpark. Wes helped her get the slide show ready for her kindergarten graduation. He also did a group photo collage and individual pictures to sell at graduation. Emma Grace and I went over to graduation Monday to sell the photos and we sold a good many. Wes also put the slide show on a DVD and we sold those too. We helped Grammy again at the ballpark Monday and Tuesday. Wes is taking pictures of the little kids to see if he can sell those. On Saturday night, we went to Monroe for Amber's birthday eating at Chili's. On Sunday, we took Grammy out to eat for Mother's Day. We ate at Logan's. After eating, we went to Wal-Mart and got Emma Grace a swing. It is so cute. I am sure pictures of it will be appearing soon. We bought a dishwasher at Basic, so when we got back Wes and my dad put it in. My mom and I went over to school to finish decorating for graduation.

Well, we head to Houston on Sunday. Wes has a chest x ray at 7:20 and blood work after that. If we get there earlier on Sunday, he can have his blood work done at the hotel. He will see his doctor at 2, and then we will head home. Please pray that everything will be ok.

Emma Grace is crawling and crawling and crawling everywhere. She likes to go to things she knows she cannot have instead of playing with the mountain of toys she has. You go after her saying no no, and she starts shaking her head side to side and sometimes throwing a FIT. She loves swinging in her new swing that Grammy and Grandaddy bought for her. Grammy ordered butterflies for her class and she left some for Emma Grace to let go. We let a few go yesterday and she loved it. We have some cute photos from that. We are planning to release the rest this afternoon. She loves going to the ballpark. Everybody walks by and she waves and smiles. She can say “Bu” for butterfly and bug, and “B” for bird. When we go outside, she starts looking for the birds and if she sees one she gets so excited. She also says “D” for ming. Grammy bought her a book about ducks and it came with a mama duck and some babies. She says “D” for the mama duck. She also says “B” for ball, and she can find her ball when u ask her. She loves to show everybody her belly. You can ask her where her belly belly belly is and she pats her belly and then claps. We are currently working on nose. She loves to play the eye, nose, mouth, ear and then belly belly game. She will start laughing b/f you get to the belly, and on mouth she wants to eat your finger. She is so funny, and so much fun. This weekend, however, she didn't want to go to sleep at night. She stayed up until 4 Friday and Saturday night. She tends to fight her sleep at night, but some nights she will go right to sleep. It is hard to believe she will be one in a month and a half.

I guess that is all for now. Please remember to pray for us as we go back to Houston. We appreciate it. Goodbye.

HAPPY 10 MONTH BIRTHDAY TO EMMA GRACE

Sunday, May 7th, 2006

Can you believe it has been 10 months? In some ways it does and in some ways it doesn't. She certainly is a blessing and we all love her very much. We don't know what we would do without her. HAPPY 10 MONTH BIRTHDAY EMMA GRACE!!!!!! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!!!! (AND SO DO A LOT MORE PEOPLE) :-)

Well, it has been a while. We have been EXTREMELY busy moving. We officially sold our house on Friday, April 28. It was mostly a painless process, except for the moving part, but we are all moved in. We still have boxes to go through, but not as many as when we started. Thanks to Tammy and Grammy. Our shed came in last Thursday. It is HUGE. If it would ever stop raining, we would be able to clean out boxes from the trailer, the storage shed we rented and some in the house. Emma Grace seems to like her new living quarters. She is crawling everywhere. We took her to the dr for her 9 month check-up last Monday, and she weighs 19lbs, 14oz and is 29 inches long. We have been helping Grammy at the ballpark in the concession stand. They play Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Last week, they only played Monday and Tuesday. I took Emma Grace over last Thursday to the Pre-k thru 1st grade play day. She enjoyed watching all the kids. She also enjoys going to the ballpark, where she gets more attention and gets to see all the kids run around. This weekend was the first in about a month that Aunt Tammy didn't come visit, and we think it about killed her. She will be coming back this weekend. On Friday night, we went to the Relay for Life in Winnsboro. We had a very good time. This year it was held in memory of Sue. Wes walked in the survivors lap with Emma Grace, and then Grammy, Delayne and I joined them for the second lap. It was very muddy and wet, but we had a fun time. Emma Grace got to pick up a duck and went fishing. Wes won two $10 gas gift cards. WOOHOO!!!!! He said he used one this morning, and put a whole 3.57 gallons in my car. We go back to Houston on the 21st. Wes will have a chest x-ray, blood work and see his dr on the 22nd. We only have to go for one day unless they find something, so please continue to keep him in your prayers. There are new photos up. If you need the login or password, email me at kristie@monceaux.org. Well, I guess that is all for now.
