Wes is on his way

Monday, November 13th, 2006

Emma Grace and I took Wes to the airport his morning. His flight left at 7. We were suppose to get up at 4, but we didn't get up until 5:10. He made it on time. There were not many people on the flight. I just talked to him, and they made it there faster than expected. They had to sit on the runway until they had a place to park. He was about to get on the train to take him to the A terminal. Emma Grace and I are about to head to town to run a few errands. We will leave for Tampa as soon as Grammy gets out of school.

P.S. No, Amber, I am NOT 40. Your mother is going to get in trouble. :) Glad you enjoyed the videos.

UPDATE: Wes made it to Tampa around 11:20. He slept most of the way. He got his luggage and then got his rental car. Everything went smoothly much to his suprise. He got a gray Chevy HHR just like Tammy's. He found the hotel after going west instead of north. He said the hotel is ok, but no Rotary House (Houston). He said we have a suite, and I told him I think they gave him the wrong room. He said it wasn't going to complain. Oh, well, gotta get ready to leave.

We have a new toy

Wes bought Grammy and me a Singer embroidery machine that also is a sewing machine. He found a place in Monroe that had it, and we made it just in time before the store closed. We left Emma Grace with Aunt Tammy and Abby, who came to visit us this weekend. Kim and Brad, I know you both are thinking have we lost our minds. She survived, and we only noticed a few bruises on her. :-P Back to the machine. Wes has been researching embroidery machines for months, since looking at one that a lady(who works with Grammy)bought this summer. We are always buying Emma Grace stuff with her name monogrammed on it, so Wes said why don't we buy one. He and Grammy have been discussing them for months.

We have a change in Tampa plans. We are leaving Tuesday afternoon, instead of Wednesday. Daddy has decided to go with us. He thought they would still be ginning at night so he couldn't go, but they will only be working during the day. He also said that we didn't need to drive by ourselves. Wes is still flying out EARLY Tuesday. We could have left Tuesday morning, but Grammy's school sold Krispy Kreme donuts (over 1500 dozen), and they will be delivered Tuesday morning. She was in charge of it, so she has to be there. We might drive straight on to Tampa just don't know yet. It is a 13-hour drive, but my dad is used to driving all night. Wes gives his presentation on Wednesday, but the conference isn't over until Friday. I don't have a clue of anything to do in Tampa. I know that Clearwater, which is right across the bay, has beautiful white sandy beaches. According to Clearwater's website, their beaches were voted #1 for 2005. Guess we will see. For those of you who don't know, Tampa is located on the West/Gulf of Mexico side of Florida. Busch Gardens is also located in Tampa and we will be staying right beside it. We haven't decided if we will go there. We head for Mickeyland on Friday. We plan to go to Magic Kingdom on that day to see Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. We are so excited to see how Emma Grace is going to react. We will have LOTS of pictures. We are staying at the Disney All-Star Pop Century. On Saturday, we will go to Sea World. I cannot wait for Emma Grace to see Shamu. She will have so much fun there looking at all the animals. On Sunday, we will head back home.

Amber is doing lots better. They thought she would come home this past Friday, then it was this coming Tuesday, and now it is Friday(17th). She is READY to come home. We talked to her Friday night and she sounded so good. They have put up pictures on their website, so please go check them out. She has fallen in love with Krispy Kreme donuts and beignets. Kim took her a dozen donuts Saturday, and she ate them all. She said her mom ate some of them, but Karri says she only ate one. She has been enjoying watching the videos Wes put up of Emma Grace. I asked her what she wanted from Disney World, and she said a t-shirt.

Guess, I better get to bed.

We have a running machine!!!!

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

Emma Grace is a walking machine or should I say a running machine. She would rather run than walk, but sometimes it doesn't always work out for her. I can say she has mastered the walking, and is now officially into EVERYTHING. She was into a lot before, but now she is into EVERYTHING. She tries to open the living room door to go "shide" otherwise known as outside. She will go to the door and say "shide". She gets her little purse Grammy bought her, puts it on her arm like a little old lady, goes to the door, turns around, waves and says bye-bye. She has been going so much in her life that she knows to get your purse and head to the door.

As of right now, we will be leaving Wednesday around noon headed to Tampa, Florida. Wes will be flying out on Tuesday. Grammy, Emma Grace and I will be leaving on Wednesday. Grammy just couldn't stand the thought of Emma Grace going to Disney and seeing Mickey without her. :-P We or I will drive about half way or ever how far I can make it on Wednesday and then drive the rest of the way on Thursday. We plan to go to Magic Kingdom on Friday evening so Emma Grace can see Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. On Saturday, we plan to go to Sea World, so Wes and Grammy can get a Shamu shape ice cream thingy. Oh, and so Emma Grace can see Shamu. We plan to head back on Sunday as Wes has to be back at work on Monday.

Amber may get to come home at the end of the week. They really don't know yet, and will probably not know until Friday. They need to do more neurological testing. She enjoyed her weekend pass this past weekend. We decided not to go down, b/c they had so many plans for her free weekend and we didn't want to get in the way. You can go to her site and view photos from this weekend. Lizzy looked like she had a fun time, and from what I hear she liked to issue orders. She talked to me on the phone for about five minutes non-stop. She certainly is kin to Tammy. :-P They say she belongs to Tammy, b/c she talks so much. Tammy says that someone with the initials EG will out do them all, and I believe it sometimes.

Well, it is late or should I say early and Emma Grace went to bed early. She will be up and ready to go early, so I better get to bed.

A Stone has appeared

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Wes passed his kidney stone today. He said he feels much better now. He said he was going to frame it, but I think the dr will need it. It isn't as big as I thought it would, but it is big for the small area it travels. I am sure he will post a picture. That is all for now.
