Daffodil of a time

Saturday, March 3rd, 2007

We went to the daffodil patch near Tammy's house yesterday. We took over 1000 pictures, and they are soooooo good. We had a little trouble with Emma Grace looking at the camera, because she was so intrigued by all the flowers. When kids came by or people with dogs came by, we could get her to smile and look up. She met her first friend. The little girl's mother was trying to take her picture and she wouldn't look up either, so we stood Emma Grace where the little girl could see her. The little girl started smiling. After taking her picture, the little girl came over to Emma Grace, and Emma Grace walked right up to her and hugged her up. It was so sweet. The little girl turned 2 in December. She was a good bit taller than Emma Grace. We saw them later, and the little girl came right up to Emma Grace and gave her a kiss on the forehead and cheek. Again, it was so sweet. There were so many people there taking pictures or having picnics. After we left the daffodils, we went to eat. Emma Grace didn't make it very far down the road, and she was OUT. She slept all the whole time we ate. Grammy tried to wake her up by putting a hush puppy under her nose, but that didn't even work. We got a smile out of her, but her eyes just wouldn't open. She woke up as we were leaving. Wes has uploaded the pictures to the computer, but they are not on the website yet. I doubt he will put all 1268 of them on there, but he might.

Not much has been going on lately. Emma Grace is learning something new everyday. She LOVES the birthday song on Sprout, and knows exactly when it is about to start up. In the song they count up to 6, and she knows exactly when they are about to do it, and shows one with her fingers. It is so funny. Wes has videoed her several times dancing to it. She doesn't seem to dance the whole time if he has the camera on. They just showed it, and she danced the entire time it was on. She also says birthday to u, but it doesn't quite come out the way it should. It is hard to type the exact way she says it, but it is so cute. She will also sing to her ABC magnet thing that Grammy got her. We can ask her to go play her abc's and she goes to it and pushes the button. She doesn't get all the letters out, but she hums the tone. She has said D and E and G and O. She will sometimes say A and B and C. Today, we said one and she said two. Whenever she hears counting, she holds up her fingers showing one. Her new teeth are really showing through. She is getting both top and bottom jaw teeth on both sides. I guess that is all the Emma Grace news. We are thinking about going to see Auntie Kim next weekend, but we haven't decided. Maybe the weather will be nice this week so we can go back outside. We didn't get to go out much this past week. Also, this week, we may try to go to a house in Gilbert that has tulips planted and take pictures there. They say it is very pretty. Well, I guess I better try to get someone to sleep. It is 1:30 a.m., and she is still going strong. I wish I had half the energy she has. Until next time…..
