Been a long time….
Thursday, March 19th, 2009Not sure if anybody reads this any more. Most people are on facebook, so they know what is going on. We took Emma Grace to Memphis in February to see Playhouse Disney Live on Stage…. She LOVED it!!!! We also took her to see The Peabody Ducks while we were there, and she loved that too. She still talks about it. She is still taking dance, but that is about to end. She has one more week, and then recital. She has pictures this weekend, so that ought to be fun. I really wish she could have played t-ball this year, but they changed the age deadline. She wanted to play so bad. Every time we go by the ballpark, she says, “I play ball momma.” I still cannot believe she can go to school next year. I am not looking forward to it. I like her here with me… She continues to sing every song she hears. She can sing or at least hum a song in the correct tune after hearing it just one time, but most of the time she is singing it. If she doesn’t sing the whole song, she hums the parts she doesn’t know. Amazes me. I don’t know where she puts all that information in that little tiny head of her’s. She still entertains us with whatever might come out of her mouth. You never know. She forgets nothing, which is good and bad.
I am trying to get ready for the Catfish Festival coming up on April 4th, which is also the same day as Emma Grace’s dance recital. (which I am NOT happy about along with the rest of my family) We will figure something out. The week after that Wes goes to Seattle for a few days, and then it is Easter. The next weekend we have a show in Vicksburg (18th). After that show, I don’t have any until the fall. There is one in May that I might consider doing, but haven’t decided. The Peach Festival is in June, but I am not doing it. Wes has a conference in San Diego the week before, and I am still trying to decide if I want to go. Well, I want to go, but I am NOT flying. I guess I am trying to decide if I want to ride in a vehicle for 1700 miles or just let him go. I think Emma Grace would love it. Well, I know she would love it because Shamu and the beach are there…. I guess we will see.
I am already getting things together for Emma Grace’s birthday party. It is going to be a princess theme. I bought some of the stuff when we went to Galveston/Houston in August. I actually got stuff for another year too. It was on sale and cute, so I couldn’t pass it up. She gets so excited when I buy stuff for the party and tell her it is for her birthday. She thinks her birthday is soon, but we tell her — daddy’s birthday, then Amber’s, then Auntie Kim’s and then her’s… Yesterday, she had her pencil and paper out and was writing down who was coming to her party…. momma – check, daddy – check, grammy – check, granddaddy – check, kim – check, tammy – check, abby – check, lizzy – check, amber – check, lizzy’s momma – check, sarah – check, valarie – check… Although the names were scribble, the checks were actually checks… She was even making invitations. I told her we had a long time before her birthday….
Well, I better get busy working on stuff for Catfish Festival… Maybe it will not be so long before I update again…..
